NAUTICAL FLEUR PALM TREES
One of my favorite things to paint as an artist are florals. They are also my favorite thing to wear. When collaborating with StepChange I felt strongly that there were other people out there like me who enjoyed aesthetically feminine floral prints. I then had the idea of filling marine life and tropical motifs with these prints. Palms are particularly sentimental to me. I grew up mainly in Georgia and a few times a year we would drive down to the Florida coast for vacation. It was a long drive but I knew when we saw the palm trees we were close. I associate palms with family time and these memorable vacations. Even now, when traveling, it is always exciting the first moment I've spotted the first palm tree of the trip - it's a sign we've made it to our destination. ~ Alexandra Catherine
